Holy Redeemer Institutional Church of God In Christ celebrates 40th Church Anniversary with weekend long celebration

This year, Holy Redeemer Institutional Church of God in Christ celebrates 40 years of faithful commitment to the Milwaukee community. As they mark this milestone, they will tell their story, honor their past, and remember where God has brought them from.
The weekend long celebration will take place May 30th – June 1st, 2026. The theme for this milestone celebration is, “If God Can Do Anything God Can Do Everything. There Is NOTHING Too Hard for God!”
Highlights of the weekend include:
An unforgettable night of worship, music, and celebration at Choir Fest on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 6:00 PM. at the Church at 3500 W. Mother Daniels Way. This concert is free and open to the public.
A special 40th Anniversary Worship service on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 9:00 A.M. at the Church at 3500 W. Mother Daniels Way. The worship service is open to the public
A Fellowship Night featuring food, fun, games and music on May 31, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. at IPAMA – Institute for the Preservation of African American Music and Arts, 3200 W. Hampton Ave.
The final and crowning event for the weekend will be the elegant 40th Anniversary Gal: Evening of Elegance which will take place at the Baird Center at 400 W. Wisconsin Ave. Doors open at 6:00 P.M. and the Gala starts at 7:00 P.M.
The Holy Redeemer Institutional Church of God In Christ, located at 3500 West Mother Daniels Way, has been a pivotal presence in its community since its inception in 1986 by Pastor Sedgwick Daniels. Starting in a modest space in a former Lutheran School, the church quickly moved to its first dedicated building at 1238 West Atkinson Street in Milwaukee.
Throughout the years as the community’s needs became more diverse Holy Redeemer would grow to meet those needs including adding education, health and dental services, and education in the arts, celebrating and nurturing African American cultural heritage.
