On Saturday, August 11, 2018, Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church hosted a special Pre-Men’s Day concert, “Sing Songs of Praise,” at their church at 1825 W. Hampton Ave. The concert event featured choirs from more than a dozen local churches; among them were special guests the Genesis Singers (lower photo) and the Yancy Brothers, Blessed Deliverance Church Male Choir, and Holy Temple Baptist Church Male Chorus (upper photo).
The concert was part of Zion Hill’s Men’s Day weekend which featured a Men’s Day Revival on Thursday, August 10, 2018, The Pre- Men’s Day concert, and the Men’s Day Worship service on Sunday, August 12, 2018 led by Zion Hill’s pastor Rev. Dr. Russell B. Williamson, featured guest speaker Rev. Kevin Patterson, Pastor, Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The theme for this year’s service was, “Men of God Being Led By The Word of God.”
