AKA Upsilon Mu Omega Chapter Celebrates ‘8th Annual AKA Day at the Derby’

On Saturday, May2, 2026, the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®️ Upsilon Mu Omega Chapter, in partnership with the Diamond Jubilee Pearls Foundation, hosted the 8th Annual AKA Day at the Derby at the Hilton Garden Inn, 11600 W. Park Place, continuing a growing tradition of style, service, and community impact.

Guests gathered in signature Derby fashion, bringing bold colors, statement hats, and high energy to an afternoon centered around purpose. As the foundation’s signature fundraiser, the event continues to make a meaningful difference, with more than $200,000 raised to date in scholarship funds supporting high school seniors and current undergraduate students throughout the Milwaukee area.

With an enhanced guest experience, including elevated hospitality and a dynamic event atmosphere, this year’s Derby reflected both growth and intention. Now in its eighth year, AKA Day at the Derby continues to build on its legacy, creating space for community, celebration, and continued investment in the next generation!
