On Thursday, November 27, 2025, Milwaukee’s Northcott Neighborhood House hosted a Thanksgiving feast for 500 people, offering a sit-down dinner that combined food, family and football for the community. Northcott had upwards of 75 volunteers on hand to help serve food, welcomed people in and got them seated. The Thanksgiving meal included sides like mashed potatoes and green beans, sweet potato pie, banana pudding, peach cobbler, and cake, along with 60 hams and turkeys.
“Everyone is going to be able to enjoy themselves. You’ll find something you’ll like,” said Northcott Neighborhood House Executive Director Tony Kearney. DJ Homer Blow provided the music and Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez joined in the dancing to the popular song “Boots on the Ground.”
Bingo and football were also part of the festivities, with a giant screen showing the Packers game during the day.
The Northcott Neighborhood House plans to host a similar community meal on Christmas Day.
