Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. Milwaukee Chapter Celebrates 40 Years of Service and Excellence

Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD) Milwaukee Chapter proudly celebrated its 40th Anniversary on October 19, 2025, at the Delta by Marriott Hotel. The milestone event, themed “Rooted in Service, Growing in Excellence – Forty Years Strong,” honored four decades of impactful service, leadership, and sisterhood in the Milwaukee community.

Distinguished speakers for the occasion included Lady Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson, National Area IV Director of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. and Milwaukee Chapter Charter Member, and former Milwaukee Top Teen Chapter President; and the former 45th Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin, the Honorable Mandela Barnes.
Special recognition was given to Chapter Organizer Lady Ira Jean Henry and current active Charter Members Lady Deidra Y.A. Edwards, Lady Catherine E. Miles, Lady Jacquelyn Rice, and Lady Margaret Todd for their enduring dedication and leadership. The chapter also celebrated the addition of 12 new members, representing the continued growth and vitality of the organization.The chapter also recognized former and current members of Top Teens of America Youth Group.
Members from the Chicago Chapter joined Milwaukee Chapter members to commemorate this historic occasion, reflecting the unity and strength of the sisterhood across chapters.

The celebration was led by Lady Nesha Beamon, 40th Anniversary Chairman; Lady Deidra Y.A. Edwards, Co-Chairman; and Lady Catherine E. Miles, Honorary Co-Chairman. Lady Dara Atandare serves as the President of the Milwaukee Chapter. The National Area III Director is Lady Vynessa Alexander.
