For 50 years Milwaukee has fallen for A&C Live Bait, Inc., hook, line and sinker
On Sunday, June 10, 2018, A & C Live Bait, Inc., is having their 50th Anniversary celebration which will continue throughout the week at their location, 314 East Center Street, Milwaukee, WI.
The journey to a live bait and fishing store began with Acie and Carrie White, who are parents of the current owner, Tommy White and his siblings. Acie and Carrie were sharecropper’s children working on a plantation in Mississippi before coming to Milwaukee. Acie and Carrie White had always wanted to own a business and they began with a candy store, then a fish market, and finally the present-day bait shop.
Today, A & C Live Bait, Inc., continues to be family owned and operated. They carry night crawlers, hooks and a full line of all kinds of fishing equipment – from hooks and bobbers to line, cameras, as well as Cuba, Shimano, Shakespeare, and Mitchell rods and reels. Most importantly, they offer fishing clinics for the young and young at heart.
