On Friday, December 20, 2024, the Milwaukee (MKE) Fellows celebrated another year of progress and shed more light on the progress that lies ahead for the MKE Fellows at their Holiday Luncheon hosted at ThriveOn, 2153 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr. This joyous occasion highlights the remarkable achievements of their fellows in internship, civic engagement, and scholarship, honoring their success and the bright futures they continue to shape. The annual MKE Fellows Holiday Luncheon also is an occasion to recognize those thought leaders, role models, and exceptional community stewards who give their time and efforts willingly and abundantly. This year’s honorees were Manpower Group Chief People and Culture Officer Michelle Nettles; and Milwaukee Bucks co-owner and Green Bay Packers director emeritus Virgis W. Colbert. The goal of MKE Fellows is the creation of a strong pipeline of young, African American male college graduates ready to return to Wisconsin to excel in their careers, build wealth, and become engaged leaders capable of moving our region’s African American communities into a new era of greater health, vitality, and prosperity.
