On Monday, December 20, 2021, the Milwaukee Urban League and Auer Avenue School hosted the annual Holiday Bazaar at the school, located at 2319 West Auer Ave. The Holdiay Bazaar provides Auer students the opportunity to shop for holiday presents as well as participate in a day of joy. Students purchased tickets and used them to “buy” gifts for friends and family. This event takes place during the school day, allowing every student to participate in the joy of the holiday season. The Milwaukee Urban League partners with Auer Avenue School as part of the National Urban Leagues’ Project Ready: Mentor Program, which exposes youth to diverse educational, developmental and career opportunities with increasing degrees of complexity, responsibility, and skill acquisition. The project is headed by Milwaukee Urban League President and CEO Dr. Eve Hall and Auer Ave. School Principal Zannetta Walker.
