A host of family and friends gathered on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Terri Lynn’s Soul Food Express for a surprise 75th birthday party for Leon M. Staples, Sr. Leon is a Milwaukee native, a graduate of Rufus King High School and a 1975 graduate of Milwaukee Area Technical College. He is retired from the Milwaukee Police Department and the US Navy Reserve. He is the father of four children, Chvala, (deceased) Chandra, Leon, Jr. (deceased), and Jon Staples.
