On Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Pallas Restaurant, 1657 S. 108th St., West Allis, George Kendrick celebrated his 90th birthday with family and friends. Kendrick is one of 11 children, born in 1935, in the family 100 year-old home in Jackson, TN. The house (still livable) is directly across the street from Lane College. After 94 years, the family passed it on to Lane College, a historically black college (HBCU). Kendrick relocated to Milwaukee, WI, worked at Sears & Roebuck and Milwaukee School Board of Directors (MPS), married, and had three children. Kendrick latter married a second time and became a successful entrepreneur. He had also traveled all over the world, from Alaska to Russia, including every continent except Antarctica. Kendrick celebrated with many folks including his long-time friend, Reuben Harpole; his siblings traveling from Florida and Illinois; his children and grandchildren from California and Ohio, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and associates.
