County Executive
David Crowley
In Milwaukee County we are taking an all-hands approach to realizing our vision that by achieving racial equity, Milwaukee is the healthiest county in Wisconsin. We believe this vision will be achieved when race no longer predicts health and other quality of life outcomes and when outcomes for everyone improve. As a government, we acknowledge our role in historically inequitable policies, and will act by challenging our policies, practices and power structures to uproot systemic racism.
Under the leadership of County Executive David Crowley and the Board of Supervisors, with support from the Milwaukee County Office on African American Affairs, we have three strategic priorities:
• Create Intentional Inclusion, so our workforce will reflect the full diversity of the County
• Bridge the Gap, a commitment to breaking down silos across County government to maximize access to and quality of services
• Invest in Equity, to address root causes of health disparities
In the spirit of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we stand in solidarity with the current movement against racism and police brutality, and commit to doing the work of eliminating barriers so all Milwaukee County residents can reach their full potential.
Together we can build a diverse and inclusive county where everyone is healthy, safe, and prosperous. We can’t do this work without you. If 2020 was any indication of how things will be this year, we can not sit idly.
