Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church honors veterans

Rev. Dr. Russell B. Williamson (left photo, front row, center), and members of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church celebrated Veteran’s Day with a luncheon on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the church located at 1825 W. Hampton Ave. The guest speaker was Center of Veterans Issues Vice President of Housing and Development Dr. Berdie Cowser (left photo, front row, center left), who’s also a retired Army veteran. Other special guests included Sheriff Danita Ball, District 13 Youth Commissioner and Veteran Peer Support D’Mario Cockfield, Dryhootch President and CEO Otis Winstead; Committee Chair and MC, Chandra Staples and Alma Leatherwood. There also was a special award presentation from Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors District 13 Youth Commissioner D’Mario Cockfield to Dr. Rev. Russell B. Williamson Award (right photo).
