On Saturday, April 6, 2024, Word of Hope Ministries held its “Diverse Business Summit and Co-Hort 6 Graduation” at the Four Points by Sheraton Milwaukee North Shore, 8900 N. Kildeer Ct. There were various speakers who provided resources and information to the small businesses/graduates. It was also an opportunity for the small businesses to practice networking and to become comfortable talking about their business. The program is designed to offer technical assistance in the form of education, resources, and access to black indigenous people of color (BIPOC) – veteran and – women owned businesses. The program pushes them past the idea, the service, or the product to understanding “the business of business” using the VSI Model®: Vision, Strategy, and Implementation. In Co-Hort 6 there were 28 graduates, to date, and there have been 230 graduates from the program since its inception.
