On Sunday, November 28, 2021, the Wisconsin Funeral Directors and Morticians Association (WFD&MA) hosted “A Parade of Hearses Against Violence,” at Holy Redeemer Institutional Church of God in Christ, 3500 W. Mother Danlies Way.

The event was to show solidarity among the African American funeral directors and take a stand against violence.

As funeral directors and morticians they see firsthand the horrors and devastation violence in the community brings to families and other loved ones.

The parade started on Fond du Lac Ave., and continued to Holy Redeemer where they made a joint public address. The WFD&MA is working Milwaukee Police Department, the Mayor’s Office, the Lt. Governor’s office and faith-based leaders across all denominations.
