Organizers estimated around 10,000 people attended the protest in Milwaukee.
More than 50 known locations across Wisconsin came together to join the nationwide “No Kings” protests against President Donald Trump’s second-term agenda on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
The protests were held the same day as a military parade in Washington, DC, celebrating the Army’s 250th anniversary, which also happened to be Trump’s 79th birthday. Trump has said that the cost of the parade is projected to be as much as $45-million for the Army alone, not counting security and other expenses. Trump said the cost will be “peanuts compared to the value of doing it.”
Critics argue the money could be better spent elsewhere.
Saturday’s protests also came on the heels of heightened tensions with National Guard troops deployed to Los Angeles to counter anti- ICE protests there.
According to organizers, there were more than 2,000 protests in cities across the country on June 14. They also mentioned that the protests were meant to defend democracy, reject authoritarian overreach and stand up for their communities.
Organizers estimated around 10,000 people attended the Milwaukee rally at Cathedral Square Park. No official number of attendees has been announced. A one mile march was also held through downtown Milwaukee.
Some other known locations on June 14 in Southeast Wisconsin included Shorewood, Greenfield, Waukesha, Brookfield, Cedarburg and Kenosha.
