On Saturday, September 15, 2018, the General Baptist State Laymen and the Wisconsin General Baptist State Laymen presented their annual Senior Deacons Recognition Night at the Best Western Plus, 5101 South Howell Ave. The theme was ” Let My Works Speak For Me,” and the keynote speaker was Bishop John Pierre James.
The event honored more than forty-six deacons from eighteen member churches.
