Repairers of the Breach, a daytime refuge and resource center for homeless adults hosted its annual “Independence Day Cookout and Program” on Thursday, July 4, 2024. This year’s celebration kicked off a new monthly inspirational series with community presenters speaking to the theme, “This Is My Story . . .” The first guest presenter was Dr. George E. Koonce, Jr., Senior Vice President of University Relations at Marian University. Dr. Koonce, a former linebacker Green Bay Packers, spoke on his life’s successes and challenges.
