The board of directors and staff of Repairers of the Breach, a homeless resource center, held its annual meeting on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Bader Philanthropies, Inc., headquarters, 3300 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr. November is Homeless Youth Awareness Month and the meeting’s guest speakers were State Representatives Kalan R. Haywood and Darrin B. Madison, who discussed homelessness and the road to independence.

Repairers of the Breach was established in 1991 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with a focus on communications projects advocating with and for people experiencing homelessness. The organization changed its primary focus in 1994 when it began Milwaukee’s first daytime homeless resource center.
