The 2015 Inaugural Spelling Bee sponsored by Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Phi Chapter was held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Frances Starms Discovery Learning Center located 2035 North 25th Street. The event challenged students to expand their vocabulary, enhance academic skills and provided an opportunity to become involved in extracurricular activities. The judges of the event were Omega Men Orlando C. Rice, Walt Buckhanan, and Andre Powell. Other participants were Basileus Donald Stone, Arras V. Martin, Anthony Canada, Evan Gant and Marcel Clarke. Each spelling bee participant received a gold medal, a trophy and cash prizes. The 1st place winner was Kar-Rizma Page, 2nd place, Jamesia Fisher and 3rd place, Ania Brox.
