On Saturday, November 16, 2019, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Alliance of Black School Educators (MMABSE) held their annual fall conference at the Potawatomi Hotel, 1721 W. Canal Street. This year’s conference marked the organization’s 50th anniversary.
The theme for this year’s conference “A Golden Celebration – A Journey Back to Our Roots: A Recommitment to Educating Our Youth.” The conference featured vendors, a moderated panel discussion, special breakout sessions for parents and retirees and was closed out by keynote speaker and past MMABSE President Michael Smith, Ph.D.
