Mayor Barrett hosts annual ‘Ceasefire Sabbath Kick-Off Breakfast’

May 17, 2018

On Thursday, May 10, 2018, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was joined by local faith leaders, city officials, Milwaukee Police Department leadership and the Office of Violence Prevention during the “14th Annual Ceasefire Sabbath Kick-Off Breakfast,” at Parklawn Assembly of God, 3725 N. Sherman Blvd.

This year’s breakfast focused on building trust between the police and community, and partnering for peace in our city. This was also the first opportunity for local faith leaders to hear directly from new Police Chief Al Morales on his plan to build trust in neighborhoods.

Pictured at the event are (from left) Office of Violence Prevention Director Reggie Moore; Parklawn Assembly of God Senior Pastor Bishop Walter Harvey; Milwaukee Police Department Police Chief Alfonso Morales; Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett; Milwaukee Police Department Crisis Intervention Team Coordinator Lieutenant Cassandra Libal; and City of Milwaukee Health Department Violence Prevention Manager David Muhammad.
