On Saturday, May 17, 2025, Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) hosted its 2025 Spring Commencement at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. Nearly 1,700 students were eligible to receive associate degrees, technical diplomas, apprenticeship diplomas and adult high school diplomas. In addition, 28 candidates for graduation who have served in the U.S. military received red, white and blue cords from the college. About 580 students graduated with honors. The keynote speaker for the commencement was Lauren Feaster, CEO of Professional Dimensions, a powerhouse network of female leaders in Milwaukee dedicated to advancing equity, innovation and collective progress.

Among this year’s graduates was Levon Coger, who at 41 decided in the fall of 2024 to enrolled in the Child Care Services program at MATC – all while working and raising two children with her husband. She earned a full ride from the Ellen and Joe Checota MATC Scholarship, made the college’s honor roll, and received her technical diploma this month.
