Marcus Performing Arts Center welcomes the Ailey American Dance Theater

The Marcus Performing Arts Center welcomed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, recognized by U. S. Congress as a vital American ”Cultural Ambassador to the World” and one of the most popular dance companies, for a one-night-only performance on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Marcus Center’s Uihlein Hall as part of its MPAC Presents Dance Series. The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater as part of national tour celebrating a decade of Robert Battle’s leadership and 50th anniversary of Alvin Ailey’s beloved “Cry.” There was also a community workshop led by Yannick Lebrun.
