Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church hosts back-to-school shoe giveaway

On Saturday, July 15, 2023, Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church hosted a “Back-To-School Shoe Giveaway” at their church, 2412 N. 6th St. Students who attended the event were given a free pair of shoes to help them get ready for the upcoming school year. The event was open to school-aged children of all ages.

In addition to shoes, there were community partners on site, including the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette Upward Bound, the Social Development Commission, and Safe and Sound to provide resources to students and families.

“With the new school year right around the corner, it is important that children be set up for success and a new pair of shoes can go a long way,” said Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs. “I want to thank Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church for hosting this event in my district.”
