On Saturday, April 21, 2018, founder and CEO of the Rev. James W. Spann II College Scholarship Foundation, Dr. Wilma N. Spann celebrated her birthday at the Four Points Sheraton, 5311 S. Howell Ave. The surprise party was thrown by her children and many of her family and friends were in attendance to wish her well. Spann II College Scholarship Foundation in honor of her late husband to fund the educational dreams of local African American college-bound students.
