North Central Service Club, Inc. (NCSC), hosted their 45th Scholarship Luncheon on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Bader Philanthropies, Inc., 3300 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Milwaukee, WI 53212. NCSC is a community service organization with a focus on providing scholarships each year to talented young women graduating from Milwaukee Public Schools. The guest speaker this year was Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Kori Ashley. She spoke directly to the 10 recipients of scholarships awarded in partnership with Bader Philanthropies Inc.
It was a pleasure to have several recipients participate in the program. Amya Camberos displayed 4 original pieces of artwork and shared the story behind each. Lydia Seay led the attendees in the Black National Anthem, and Jordan Harris recited an original poem “Black Is My Color.” The members of North Central Service Club will continue to follow each of the NCSC scholarship recipients through college and offer further support.
