Carter’s Christian Academy holds ‘Ready To Move Forward’ balloon release ceremony

On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, Carter’s Christian Academy hosted a “Ready To Move Forward” balloon release ceremony at the academy building, 5268 N. 35th St. Concerned that the trauma that many children in Milwaukee face goes unrecognized, Carter’s Christian Academy founder Dr. Andre Carter (hosted a balloon releasing ceremony to help children cope and to raise awareness about what they experience.
“The trauma that children are facing in their everyday life impacts their ability to develop relationships, handle disappointments, loss, or have successful academic outcomes,” said Dr. Carter. She continued, “A balloon release is a symbol of letting go, releasing and moving forward.”
