More than six decades after their electrifying launch into international stardom, the music of the “Fab Four” continues to enjoy unflagging popularity, reaching listeners’ hearts, connecting audiences across generations, and providing the soundtrack to a distinctly modern way of life that began in the swingin’ sixties and extends through to the present day. Join your Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (MSO) as they bring their symphonic stylings to the best-loved hits of the Beatles on March 28-30, 2025, offering an exclusive glimpse into the world of pop music’s best loved quartet.

Twist & Shout follows the Beatles as they touch down in the states in February 1964, make their splash across the pond, and rocket to global fame. Set to the sounds of their charttopping singles, including A Hard Day’s Night, Eight Days a Week, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Love Me Do, She Loves You, Ticket to Ride, Yesterday, and more, the performance features a unique look behind the scenes of the band’s time in America — hundreds of rarely-seen archival photographs are projected on the big screen while the orchestra plays, presenting an unusually intimate portrait of the musical sensation that captured the world’s imagination.

The program is led by Byron Stripling, the critically acclaimed trumpet virtuoso and bandleader (with credits ranging from the Count Basie Orchestra to Broadway) who began his tenure as the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Stein Family Foundation Principal Pops Conductor at the beginning of the 24-25 season. Joining him onstage in Allen-Bradley Hall are Paul Loren (vocals and keyboard), Colin Smith (vocals and guitar), Daniel Berryman (vocals), Oscar Rodriguez (guitar), Jon Epcar (drums), and Tim Lappin (bass), each paying tribute to the peerless boy band that shaped the sound of a century.
