Atkinson neighborhood raises Juneteenth flag to kick off celebrations

On June 14, 2025, X-Men United, LLC. and Wisconsin Community Services (WCS) celebrated their 4th annual Juneteenth community flag raising event at Atkinson Triangle Park, where the flag will fly all year long. The park is on the annual Juneteenth parade route and the flag serves as a centerpiece for the route. In attendance was Mayor Cavalier Johnson, WCS President Clarence Johnson and other community leaders and vendors. The event was open to the public who enjoyed food, music and games sponsored by Bader Foundation, WCS, and Dawg City. The event was organized by X-Men United, LLC.
