Black Arts MKE in association with Patton Daye Slater Productions presents LOVE & SOUTHERN D!SCOMFORT by Monica L. Patton and Bobby Daye. We’re seeking strong local actors, dancers and singers – especially seeking mature character actors for the featured roles. Performers must be available for all rehearsal and performance dates. LOVE & SOUTHERN D!SCOMFORT will be mounted at the Marcus Performing Arts Center in Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall, May 6-10, 2020.
Featuring Tony Award Nominee Felicia P. Fields from The Color Purple, LOVE & SOUTHERN D!SCOMFORT blends the lush backdrop of rural Louisiana with unbridled jealousy, joy, and paid as it weaves a gripping tale about an old-money family torn apart by money, addiction and the revelation of a long buried family secret.
