Audition notice for Love & Southern D!Scomfort

February 13, 2020

Black Arts MKE in association with Patton Daye Slater Productions presents LOVE & SOUTHERN D!SCOMFORT by Monica L. Patton and Bobby Daye. We’re seeking strong local actors, dancers and singers – especially seeking mature character actors for the featured roles. Performers must be available for all rehearsal and performance dates. LOVE & SOUTHERN D!SCOMFORT will be mounted at the Marcus Performing Arts Center in Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall, May 6-10, 2020.

Featuring Tony Award Nominee Felicia P. Fields from The Color Purple, LOVE & SOUTHERN D!SCOMFORT blends the lush backdrop of rural Louisiana with unbridled jealousy, joy, and paid as it weaves a gripping tale about an old-money family torn apart by money, addiction and the revelation of a long buried family secret.

AUDITIONS:

LOVE & SOUTHERN D!SCOMFORT auditions will be held SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2020, 1:00PM TO 5:00PM, AND MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2020, 5:00PM TO 9:00PM at the Marcus Performing Arts Center, Studio 4A, (123 East State, use entrance next to loading dock, Fourth Floor.) Please submit a head-shot or photo and artistic resume to INFO@BLACKARTSMKE.ORG by Monday, February 17, 2020. Only those who submit will receive an audition appointment along with other important information. Everyone will need an appointment in order to audition. Rehearsals for LOVE & SOUTHERN D!SCOMFORT will begin early April, held evenings and weekends. This is a paid opportunity.
