Herbert and Betty Renfro attended the Senator’s roundtable with housing leaders in May 2026. Post the roundtable, Herbert shared their story of needing support to replace their roof and stairs inside their home. Senator Baldwin’s office connected the Renfro’s with Revitalize MKE, a local nonprofit organization that provides free, critical home repairs and safety modifications to low-income seniors, veterans, and individuals living with disabilities. Serving both Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, the group operates as a nonprofit construction company, utilizing licensed contractors and volunteers to help residents remain safely independent in their homes. The Renfro’s have lived at their home for 50 years and raised three children.
