President Rev. Dr. Fredrick E. Jones Delivers Final Annual Address as President of the General Baptist State Convention of Wisconsin, Inc.

On Thursday, August 6, 2026, the General Baptist State Convention of Wisconsin, Inc. (GBSC), a 101-year-old faith-based organization committed to serving churches and communities throughout Wisconsin, proudly recognizes the conclusion of the five-year presidential tenure of Reverend Dr. Fredrick E. Jones at at Canaan Baptist Church, 2975 N. 11th St. During his final presidential address, Dr. Jones reflected on five years of faithful service marked by integrity, servant leadership, and an unwavering commitment to advancing the mission of the Convention. His presidency has been characterized by strengthening relationships among member churches while expanding the Convention’s impact through meaningful partnerships that improve the health and well-being of Wisconsin communities.

Under Dr. Jones’ leadership, the General Baptist State Convention established and strengthened collaborative partnerships with organizations including the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging, the Medical College of Wisconsin, Humana and Horicon Bank, creating opportunities to address health equity, community wellness, financial empowerment, and educational outreach. These collaborations have extended the Convention’s ministry beyond the church walls, demonstrating the power of faith-based organizations to transform lives through service and partnership.

Throughout his presidency, Dr. Jones has remained steadfast in his commitment to leading with humility, transparency, and faith. His vision has inspired churches across Wisconsin to work together in addressing both the spiritual and practical needs of the communities they serve.

Reflecting on his tenure, Dr. Jones shared:
“I have sought to lead with integrity, faith, and dedication. As I conclude this chapter of service, I remain grateful to God, the pastors, churches, Executive Board, and faithful supporters who entrusted me with the privilege of serving as president. Together, we have continued to move the Convention forward while honoring the rich legacy of those who came before us.”

His leadership has been guided by the words of Hebrews 12:1–2:

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”

As Dr. Jones concludes his presidential term, he leaves a legacy of faithful stewardship, collaborative leadership, and strengthened partnerships that position the General Baptist State Convention of Wisconsin for continued growth and service in its second century.
