Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church celebrates 107th Anniversary

On Sunday, August 16, 2026, Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church (M.B.C.) celebrated its 107th Anniversary at the church at 2207 N. 2nd St. Mount Zion M.B.C. has a long, rich, and significant history as one of the first Baptist churches in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since 1919, Mount Zion has committed to spiritually embrace our community. We continue to aim for the rich and thriving spiritual lives of all those that are in need. Mount Zion is a hallmark in providing compassionate services of support and resources to many individuals and organizations. Since Mount Zion’s humble beginnings, their ministry outreach has grown to include residential housing; to partnership with St. Ben’s shelter for adults; to partnership with George Washington Carver Academy to assist youth, to name a few.

The theme for the events was “Rebuilding The House of God” – Nehemiah 2:18. The message for the 107th Anniversary was delivered by Rev. Joseph W. Franklin, Senior Pastor of Mount Triumph Missionary Baptist Church of Boyce, LA. The Sunday services was lead by Rev. Louis E. Sibley III, Pastor.
