Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church Celebrates 107 Years of Worship and Serving the Community

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church 107th Anniversary commemoration will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Mount Zion, 2207 N 2nd Street, Milwaukee, WI. Worship Service at 10:00 a.m.; Rev. Louis E. Sibley III, Pastor. The Anniversary Theme is, “Rebuilding The House of God,” Nehemiah 2:18.
Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church has a long, rich, and significant history as one of the first Baptist churches in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since 1919, Mount Zion has committed to spiritually embrace our community. We continue to aim for the rich and thriving spiritual lives of all those that are in need.
Mount Zion is a hallmark in providing compassionate services of support and resources to many individuals and organizations. Since Mount Zion’s humble beginnings, our ministry outreach has grown to include residential housing; to partnership with St. Ben’s shelter for adults; to partnership with George Washington Carver Academy to assist youth, to name a few. Mount Zion Baptist Church will celebrate its 107th anniversary from August 14 – August 16, 2026 with various activities as follows:
Saturday, August 15th – 107th Church Anniversary Picnic, at the Milwaukee County Zoo, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Registration required.
Sunday, August 16th – 107th Church Anniversary Celebration:
9:00 a.m. Coffee Connect – Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church
10:00 a.m. Worship Service – Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church
The message for the 107th Anniversary will be delivered by Rev. Joseph W. Franklin, Senior Pastor of Mount Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, Boyce, LA. We are inviting family members, friends, former members, and the community at large to attend our 107th Church Anniversary.
