To match up local employers with student job seekers, Milwaukee Public Schools will host a job fair on March 13, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Student Union. Approximately 1,000 students are expected to attend in search of summer and year-round work. Last year’s job fair was a huge success, with employers and students requesting a repeat event in 2019.
Employers can register at https://mpsstudentjobfair.eventbrite.com
Space at the job fair is free and includes one parking spot and a light lunch. An area will be available for onsite interviews. For questions and registration information, contact Tamera Coleman at employMPSstudents@milwaukee. k12.wi.us
Students who complete a Work Readiness session at their school are eligible to attend the job fair. Work Readiness sessions help prepare students to fill out job applications, interview, and be ready for the world of work. Students can speak with their counselor or stop in any College and Career Center with questions. Bus transportation will be provided for students to attend the job fair thanks to a generous donation from the Al Hurvis/ADAMM Education Foundation.
The UWM Student Union is located at 2200 East Kenwood Blvd., Milwaukee, WI 53211.
