Milwaukee Academy of Science Youth win Silver Ball during State Championship

On Saturday, March 19, 2022, 20 bright and talented young men of color from Milwaukee Academy of Science competed for WIAAWI Division 4 Basketball State Championship and won the “Silver Ball,” in Madison. Most of the young men on the Novas team are freshman. They have worked incredibly hard this year to get where they are, and Milwaukee Academy of Science President and CEO Anthony McHenry has been doing a great job with them at the school. This is the first time in school history the Novas have gone to state to compete. “They are an amazing group of young men,” said Curt Hansen, School Athletic Director.
