Milwaukee Bucks All-Star Khris Middleton along with UnitedHealthcare CEO Dustin Hinton delivered excitement, energy, and new coats to Martin Luther King Elementary School this week. All 300 students received a new winter coat to keep them warm as they walk to school or wait at bus stops. The gift was made through Middleton’s organization, Dreambuilders Foundation, and was supported by a grant from UnitedHealthcare.
“Believe it or not, these coats will help our students achieve,” said King Principal Anesia Hayes. “When children don’t have the right winter gear, parents sometimes keep them home when the weather is bitter cold. We need our students to be in school all day, every day, and this gift will make a huge impact.”
Middleton is engaging in 12 Days of Khrismas this month to help children in Wisconsin, South Carolina, and Louisiana. Students at King Elementary are excited to be part of his holiday plans.
On behalf of Milwaukee Public Schools and the students and staff at King Elementary, thank you, Khris Middleton and United Healthcare!
