Diamond Discs International celebrates grand-opening of world headquarters

June 21, 2018

Diamond Discs International hosted the grand opening of their new global headquarters located at 9300 W. Heather Ave., in Milwaukee. Ugo Nwagbaraocha (top photo), President of Diamond Discs International, spoke about celebrating its expansion and investment in the local community. Diamond Discs’ demonstrated growth and expansion has led to the firm’s capacity for consideration as a prime supplier of construction tools and equipment to major construction projects, both locally and nationally. The new state-of-the-art facility provides workforce training technology, expanded warehouse and light assembly logistics. Diamond Discs plans to create 20 -30 new local employment opportunities in the upcoming two to three years.

“The humble success I have achieved is based firmly on the role models demonstrated by my parents who emigrated to Milwaukee over 50 years ago from Nigeria. Even in the 1960’s my parents (pictured lower photo) had a global perspective and understood the value of the City of Milwaukee – a city of values, hard working town, employment opportunities and great place to raise a family.”

Mr. Nwagbaraocha continued, “It is important for me to provide the same positive role models, demonstrate the importance of education and work ethic, value of family, creation of employment opportunities, for our new generations and less advantaged.”

Diamond Discs International, established in 1999, is a First-In Class wholesaler and distributor of construction tools, safety equipment and an industry leading producer of professional grade diamond blades, core bits, power gas saws, hand held power tools and safety equipment (safety cones, safety barrels, safety barricades, etc.). Diamond Discs International has the largest local inventory of diamond-edged cutting tools in a fully stocked warehouse. Diamond Discs International is a 100 percent minority owned company and certified as MBE, DBE, 8a.

“Let’s change the narrative, and redefine the vision of what diverse business excellence looks like in the City of Milwaukee. Let’s work together and change the definition of Black on Black to refer to black businesses working with each other achieving long term success,” Ugo Nwagbaraocha said.
