Nehemiah Summer Learning Camp hosts closing program

On Friday, August 5, 2016, Nehemiah, Inc., hosted their closing program to honor the graduates of this year’s
Summer Youth Learning Camp. The youth camp is a six-week math and literacy camp lead by certified teachers.
As part of the program the children received certificates of completion, and enjoyed a uplifting keynote speech
from community organizer Sherry Hill (right photo). The program is coordinated by Karen Shaw and Connie
Dallas and helps children fight off the “brain drain” experienced during the summer recess. Nehemiah, Inc., was
established on October 16, 2006 as an offshoot of the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
