The Men’s Chorus of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 1717 W. Meinecke Avenue, is hosting their Annual Homecoming Celebration on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. The public is cordially invited. Rev. Dr. Hugh Davis, Jr., is pastor.

United Methodist Church announces celebration
Honoring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Wisconsin Conference of The United Methodist Church (UMC) will host a celebration in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at 7:00 p.m on Monday, January 20th, 2014, at Albright United Methodist Church, 5555 W. Capitol Dr., Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Bishop Julius Trimble of the Iowa Annual Conference will be a guest preacher. Music will be provided by members of the Marquette University Gospel Choir and a combined choir of Milwaukee-area United Methodist Churches. In addition, an offering will be taken for the Rising Sun Camp, a Wisconsin UMC-sponsored summer camp which serve children with incarcerated parents. Child care will be available during the event, and the local United Methodist Women’s group will provide refreshments afterwards. Additional parking will be available on the north side of Capitol Drive, in the lot across the street from the church.
