Supervisor Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones Sworn in for the 5th Year

Supervisor Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones was officially sworn in on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the Milwaukee County Courthouse by the Honorable Lena C. Taylor, marking the start of her fifth year serving Milwaukee County’s 13th District.
The ceremony reflected both legacy and leadership, as Judge Taylor—who has known Supervisor Coggs-Jones since childhood—administered the oath in a moment that honored generational service and deep community roots.
Following the ceremony, Supervisor Coggs-Jones was reelected as Second Vice Chairwoman of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors, continuing her role in countywide leadership alongside Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson and First Vice Chairman Steven Shea.
Also sworn in were members of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors: Marcelia Nicholson, Steven Shea, Willie Johnson, Jr., Deanna Alexander, Steve F. Taylor, Sheldon A. Wasserman, Patti Logsdon, Felesia A. Martin, Shawn Rolland, Juan Miguel Martinez, Kathleen Vincent, Caroline Gómez-Tom, Justin Bielinski, Sky Z. Capriolo, Jack Eckblad, and Anne O’Connor.
The Board also proudly welcomed newly elected Supervisor Leevan D. Roundtree Jr., representing District 5, marking a moment of transition and renewed energy in county leadership.
During her tenure, Supervisor Coggs-Jones has led community listening sessions, supported neighborhood beautification efforts, advanced health equity initiatives, and strengthened partnerships that benefit families and underserved communities.

Following the ceremony, Supervisor Coggs-Jones celebrated this milestone with colleagues, family, and friends at Lil Wil’s Lounge—“Milwaukee’s Black Cheers,” where you come, and everybody knows your name. Special thanks are extended to the Lidell family—Sherri, Linda, and the entire family—as well as Willie Ruffin, for their continued hospitality and support.
The gathering also honored the legacy of the dearly missed Queen of Lil Wil’s, Lori Lidell, whose spirit continues to bring people together in love and community. Reflecting on that legacy, Supervisor Coggs-Jones shared, “This journey truly began years ago with the love and support of Lori and Willie, who believed in me early on and stood beside me. Their encouragement helped shape my path, and that support continues to this day.” She added, “I am deeply grateful to everyone who came out and those who sent love and thank yous, showed love, and contributed to my campaign. Your support allows me to continue the work—clean-ups, Listen & Learn sessions, and being present and accountable as ‘Priscilla for the people.’”
This milestone reflects a continued commitment to service, leadership, and building a stronger Milwaukee County for all.
