Milwaukee legend Reuben Harpole celebrates 90th birthday at Bader Philanthropies

Reuben Harpole celebrated his 90th birthday at Bader Philanthropies on September 12, 2024, with a host of family and friends. His daughter Annette and a family member were present. A video of Reuben’s son John was shown. Host Franklin Cumberbatch, Bader VP of Engagements, hosted the event. Clayborn Benson did the Libation and daughter Annette Harpole welcomed attendees. Guest speakers included Lynda Jackson-Conyers, Ralph Hollmon, Tony Lockly, Virgil Cameron, McCannon Brown who spoke on Reuben’s accomplishments throughout the years. Lunch was catered by Lisa Kaye Catering. Reuben Harpole (informally nicknamed ‘Milwaukee’s First Black Mayor’) is continuing to share his knowledge with anyone who is willing to listen.
