MPS offers support systems during virtual learning

September 10, 2020

The new virtual school year has begun, and MPS has supports for students and families who are embarking on online learning. Find the help you need for a successful school year! Answers to many questions can be found on the MPS website or the MPS School Reopening website.

For questions about your child’s progress, grades, homework, and classroom procedures, contact your child’s teacher or log in to Infinite Campus. Questions about the school year, policies, and procedures can be addressed to your child’s principal or school leader.

The Parent Coordinator at your child’s school is available for guidance about many types of family resources, student needs, and community supports.

Chromebook issues: If a Chromebook is not working properly, do not attempt to fix it yourself. Email the MPS Technology Support Center at tsc@milwaukee.k12.wi.us immediately or call (414) 438-3400. Please include a phone number, school name, student name and ID number, and description of the problem in the email so we can contact you.

Video tutorials are available to help families get started with Chromebooks, access online classrooms and Clever, and find step-by-step help.

For specific questions regarding a child with disabilities, call the Department of Specialized Services at (414) 438-3648.

Families who need support for English language learners can call (414) 777-7806.

Meal Distribution: Hours and locations for breakfast and lunch distribution are located on the Stop, Grab, and Go page. Students with special dietary needs or religious restrictions can request special meals by filling out the form on the Stop, Grab, and Go page.

Infinite Campus/Parent Portal: Each child’s grades and school record, along with important school communications, are kept up to date in Infinite Campus. Live Parent Portal phone and email support is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Hours are subject to change. Call (414) 475-8159.

To set up an account or recover a username/password: Parents and guardians should email parentportal@milwaukee.k12.wi.us. In your email, include the parent/guardian name, child’s name, birth date, and a contact number. If you do not receive a phone call or email within 24 hours, please call (414) 475-8159 for further assistance.
