Signs of life: Milwaukee city parks

April 2, 2020

Since the city has been under a “Safer at Home” order as of March 25, 2020, most of the city has been quiet and deserted. A few sparse cars and people here and there but mostly, Milwaukee looks like a movie set for a post-apocalyptic film.

But there are signs of life in Milwaukee city parks. Collin Cumby, a 7th grader from Lloyd Barbee Montessori School, comes to Lincoln Park, 1301 W. Hampton Ave., on a regular basis with his grandmother to play basketball.

Though there are not a whole lot of other children to play with, Collin still has fun practicing his shots. Even in these times of chaos and uncertainty there signs of normalcy to be found.
