Robert Earl McGhee , affectionately known as “Slim” or “Rob Dog”, was born on May 7, 1954 to the late Golden McGhee and Vera L. Reed in Suttle, Alabama. His early childhood years were spent with Geneva Bennett, “Mama G”. By nine years old, his mother remarried following the death of Golden McGhee, and the family relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Robert received his formal education from Milwaukee Public Schools. His love for cars and passion for girls superceded him graduating from high school. That obstacle never stopped him from achieving and getting what he needed. He would later receive his GED.
