July 20, 2023

On Saturday, July 15, 2023 Garfield’s 502 and Wisconsin Black Chamber of Commerce hosted Garfield’s 502 R&B Festival at 502 West Garfield Avenue. Spanning blocks from 4th to 7th Streets, this vibrant festival brought together more than 20 live bands and 100 vendors offering food, novelties, and enlightening educational resources. With a focus on family-friendly entertainment, the festival provided an exceptional platform for local and national musical artists ranging from gospel and R&B to jazz and blues. The festival’s main stage, hosted by Jammin’ 98.3’s Earl Stokes dedicated to the soulful sounds of R&B, featured an impressive lineup of national recording artists, including the renowned K’Jon, alongside Milwaukee’s very own Rodney Poe and Chris Crain. There was a dedicated kids’ tent area that ensured an exciting day filled with games, delightful face painting, and more.

It was a great day of providing an array of food options, an extraordinary musical experience, entertainment, and ample shopping opportunities for the whole family.
