The 2019 Black Excellence Awards committee is please to announce their 2019 keynote speaker, Steven Weddle

The 34th Annual Black Excellence Awards committee is proud to announce Steven Weddle as its 2019 keynote speaker.

Weddle, is managing director, and the head of the NAI East Team in the Asset Management Division for J.P. Morgan. He is also a member of the North America Institutional Management Committee. An employee since 2007, Steven is responsible for serving the investment needs of institutional investors, including corporate and public retirement plans, endowments and foundations with a focus on the Northeast region. Prior to his current role, he was Client Portfolio Manager for Global Real Assets, responsible for advising clients on the opportunities and risks associated primarily with infrastructure and global maritime investing.

Prior to 2007, he was Director of Alternative Investments at ING Investment Management Americas, responsible for establishing and executing an institutional sales strategy for PE, RE, and FoHF investment strategies. Previously, he was President and CEO of the Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund in Johannesburg, responsible for making PE investments focused on 11 Southern African countries. At Eccles Associates, he was based in Lusaka, Zambia, where he advised the Zambian Privatization Program on the sale of state-owned companies to private investors. Steven earned a B.B.A. in finance and marketing and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin. He also holds FINRA Series 3, 7, and 63 licenses.

The 34th Black Excellence Awards will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Italian Conference Center, 631 E. Chicago St. Nominations for 2019 honorees are currently open and forms are available at the Milwaukee Times office, on our website at https://milwaukeetimesnews.com, and in our weekly newspaper.
