Students at Holmes School help give back to families of Ronald McDonald House

April 20, 2023

Photos by Yvonne Kemp

On Thursday, April 13, 2023, the students of Oliver Wendell Holmes Elementary School gathered to pack bags and boxes for families in need. This was part of the school’s community project to help children and their families going through serious medical issues, who are temporarily residing at the Ronald McDonald House. As part of this service-learning project, students packed essential items donated in part by Target and Greater Milwaukee Urban Leaguers. This project was further supported by two other Greater Milwaukee’s Project Ready-Mentor schools, George Washington Carver Academy and Pathways High School.
