Street renamed to honor Rev. Claude Edwards, Faith Temple COGIC founder

On Friday, November 17, 2023, the family of the late Rev. Claude Edwards hosted a celebration in honor of the late pastor and founder of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. He passed away in 2020 at age 96. Rev. Edwards was a pillar in our community with unwavering dedication to Faith Temple Church, where he thrived for the betterment of the lives of his congregation and the Milwaukee community at-large. The honorary signs renaming the streets are located on the corners of 22nd, 23rd, 24th and Center Street.
