Sen. Larson: State surplus stolen from classrooms across Wisconsin

October 21, 2013

ChrisLarson2The Wisconsin state Senate Democratic Leader Chris Larson released a statement on Monday, October 14, 2013, on the pilfering of education dollars from classrooms across Wisconsin for the governor’s political talking points.
“Wisconsin’s increase in reserves can only be attributed to the fact that the state has made historic cuts to education spending for Wisconsin children,” said Senator Chris Larson. “Celebrating a surplus of funds at the state level ignores the historic $800-million that was cut from classrooms across Wisconsin in the 2011 budget. Our children deserve better than cuts to their education for the sake of a political talking point.”
